Excellent Bartending stores and web sites
For everyone interested in bartending including pros!!

Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland bars, clubs, restaurants, and hotels hire an enormous number of bartenders trained by The Professional Bartending School.  Read about some of our graduates who enjoy the nightlife and earn lots of money at a great many nightspots throughout the region!

Who is working - where and when - visit them

If you really want to know how the Professional Bartending School can work for you or see an old classmate visit a bartender at work. We are listing where recent grads are working...as we find out about them.

Stop at their bar. Buy a drink or grab a bite. Chat with them...when they have the time. Ask about The Professional Bartending School. And most of all tip them well!

Bugaboo Steak House Upper Marlboro - Andrew,  wrote this testimonial which we received Novmber 3, 2004. He graduated October 1, 2004
What can I say but Professional Bartending School (PBS) is hands down the best&.

I wanted to find a job to help supplement my income so that I could one day achieve my dream of being a homeowner. My first priority was that I needed a skill that was marketable, and seeing how I am also a grad. student my 2nd priority was that I had to find something that wouldnt take months to acquire.

As luck would have it, I work in Rosslyn VA right down the street from the PBS. I expected to learn a bit about bartending but what I achieve in 40hrs/2 weeks far exceeded my expectations. I learned the art of mixology (I get a kick out of saying that). The one thing I can say about the staff is that they are completely dedicated to your success. However, it is important for you to realize what your skills and talents are. If you want to be successful and maximize on your earning potential you should have an upbeat outgoing personality. Without it, don't expect much in the way of regulars, repeats and even worse tips.

Also, keep in mind that PBS has bartending classes ongoing, and every week there are a new group of bright eyed students waiting to become the next Moe, Doug or Crystal. As a result, Holly the Placement Director is swamped w/request to help find jobs and although she gets an "A" for her dedication and hard work she is in fact only one person. To land your first job takes confidence, persistence and as Doug says a bit of arrogance (notice I said a bit). Don't rely solely on Holly to find that first gig for you, yes she will work overtime to do what she does, but ultimately it is up to you to sell yourself. I interviewed at Red Lobster, Cheese Cake Factory, Fur Night Club, Dream Night Club, Uno's, Bugaboo Creek and FedEx Field. Believe me when I say I had my share of "not at this time" or "we are looking for more experience" but I was determined to become a bartender.

Since I have been bartending the one thing I noticed is that if you remember the basics of what you were taught at PBS the rest will fall into place. Besides, each bar, restaurant and pub has their own list of specialty drinks and more times than not you will be working with someone that has to show you the ropes at your new establishment.

Take it from me, I had no previous bartending experience and now I bartend at Bugaboo Creek Steak House at The Capital Boulevard Center on the weekends. Also, I just landed a job bartending at the FedEx Field (Redskins) stadium during the seasons home games.

The fee for the school is probably the best money I spent in a long time..

Do yourself a favor if you're thinking about become a bartender run to PBS, you will quickly notice that the money and time you spend is one of the best investments you will make.

Keep doing what you do PBS&
