Bartending jobs can work for everyone.  Its a terrific full-time job.  Bartending is the perfect, fun flexible part-time job.  Bartending is a great transition job.  Since the 1960's Washington region students have helped pay their way through school with bartending.  No matter your age or preferences our grads can be found bartending throughout Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.  In fact check this informative fun web site of DC bars clubs and lounges.  Our grads are working in most of these popular places.

  • National Bartending Job Placement Assistance:  We get asked about this all the time.  Here are some relevant updates.  Having operated this school, and others for decades here is what we do.  We actively cooperate with schools all over the nation.  In fact we are unique.  We encourage cooperation.  We aren't parts of unique groups that cooperate with schools in some cities and not others.  We cooperate and work with everyone.  It works so much better for our grads.

  • But there is more.  Our own job placement assistance program comes with an initial "How to get a bartending job anywhere A to Z checklist.  Having operated bars, been bartenders, worked with thousands of bar owners and managers--it is more thorough, more complete, and more realistic than all other materials we have seen.  Its a great summary of how to get a bartending job anywhere and in any setting.
  • When it comes to relocating to another area with bartending schools our open door cooperative basis works with schools everywhere in every metropolitan region.  We contact them, ensure the follow up remind them of our efforts on your behalf.  We basically go the extra mile to ensure you get well taken care of.
  • Here are some sample schools where the local owners will go the extra mile to help you in a thorough manner.  If you are thinking of parts of California then we'll ensure you get great assistance at either the Los Angeles Bartending Schools or Sacramento Bartending School.  Thinking of the New York City area?  Check out the New York Bartending School.  We have been working with them for years.  We have plenty of other contacts and will be happy to help you out.

  • November hirings and opportunities:  In some ways this is the easiest time of the year to get immediate bartending jobs.  Its Party Season.  Last December we received requests for over 100 bartenders each from 3 separate caterers for three weekends.  THEY NEEDED 900 bartenders!   And that just touches the surface.  We provided bartenders for lots of parties in Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
  • Even while that is happening we heard that Gina landed a bartending job at Buffalo D's in Arlington, James, who has been consistenty bartending for almost 2 years as a part time gig on top of his regular job took a bartending job in Clinton at Ruby Tuesday's, Christina landed a job close to the school in Arlington--cripes you can visit the school and walk a block to ask her about bartending jobs, and Eddie looks very cool working at the main bar at Jury's Hotel in Downtown/Dupont Circle area in DC!!!!
  • Our Flair Bartenders Hit the Big Time!!  When Washingtonian Magazine covers a topic in its "AFTER HOURS BLOG" you know its a big deal and worth seeing in the region.  Well they interviewed two of the best flair bartenders on the East Coast, our own instructor Moe,and his flair partner Freddie B.  Both are members of The Pour Boys.  Its a fun article to read.  These guys are real, they are nice, and they are amazing to watch.  Check it out in the article, at one of their shows, or see what they are up to at our school.
  • Nifty Testimonial:  Its October and we just found this nifty testimonial about our DC bartending school written back in July, '07.  Its fair.  Its not just a made up statement but includes comments that debate the issue.  But we appreciate the positive comments.  And those grads are aware they can not only get refresher courses but they can get updated job leads whenever they wish.  In fact its October and reviewing our latest job leads we see a lot of recent bartending job leads from close in Arlington and Alexandria but also from out in Dulles.  In Washington DC we have a lot of hotel bartending job leads.  And in Maryland we have recently added bartending jobs from Bethesda, Greenbelt, Silver Spring and near the Baltimore Washington Airport.  Check our leads on a visit.  You'll find bartending job opportunities from throughout the region.
  • Meanwhile we got a visit from our 2004 grad Vino.  Vino has been bartending at Love since then and holds down a weekday corporate job.  He thinks that the last 10 new hires all came from our school.  Love, formerly known as Dream, has over 50 bartenders on staff for their various shifts. This summer we trained and certified their entire management staff in our DC accepted alcohol management program.
  • And another update from an old grad who has worked at least 7 different places; always part time always while he has held a steady job:  Jay called the other day.  He graduated at the end of 1999 and has kept steady part time bartending jobs for the last 7.5 years.  He currently works at the Pinzimi Bar at the Westin Gateway Hotel in Arlington down the street from the school.  Over the years he has had part time bartending work at the Left Bank, City Tavern Club, an Applebee's, Uno's, Ridgewells, and still foundly remembers the very first bartending gig he got at the now closed Heart and Soul Cafe on Capitol Hill, 8th Street, SE.  That came right off our job leads list.  Jay referred his sister Shayla currently in grad school.  We reminded him to tell her to hit us up for job leads, especially since the busy catering season has again started.  What was amazing and timely Jay, who has always been a part-time bartender had his best week ever just two weeks ago.  Working only 3 days he earned between $1,500-2,000 during a very busy week at the hotel.  Congratulations, Jay!!!  He is currently working Mon, Wed, and, Fridays.  If you want to find out about bartending and sit in a very sleek sharp bar....visit him.

  • A Great Bartending Success Story:  Paul stopped by with a great bartending success story.  He took the class in May with a need for a part time bartending job that would bring in income during a short period of need.  Two weeks after graduating he landed a job with a quality bar/restaurant right off our jobs leads list.  He was the right person at the right time. The job lead came from a friend in the industry who has known the DC region bar business for 30 years!  7 weeks later Paul had earned about double his financial goal. Every week of part-time work more than paid for our quick class.  Now he has a new baby and is taking a leave of  absense from the bar.  They still love him and he can pick up more hours when he is ready.  And he has this great skill he can use when he wants and access to our updated job leads at any time.  Good luck with the baby, Paul!!
  • November NewsFlash:  Rich walked into the school dressed as a bartender.  He graduated in early November, didn't have initial luck after our job assistance meeting, came back to us and we personally led him to a couple of our latest hottest leads.  He's bartending at Bebo Trattoria--which looks like the hottest bar in the attractive booming Crystal City Restaurant Row.  Congrats Rich!!

  • Tyeshia called and is working at Hoolihans in Springfield.  Gallie, who just graduated, picked up a bartending position off our jobs leads list on U Street.  We loved this next one.  We had a visit from a party host, Jack, an attorney from Fairfax that used our bartending service.  Amy, who has a full time job bartended at his party during the first weekend of May.  Jack walked in and told us she was great...and made a terrific Martini...just the way he liked it.  Amy has been getting steady catering work every week through us and a caterer we introduced her to.  She loves it.
