Things To Do in DC: Bartending Edition

The DC 20s & 30s Going Out Group is the largest 20s and 30s meetup group in the country, connecting thousands of young professionals through social events across the metro area. The group's organizer, J.T. Yaung, works as a bartender at UltraBar, a popular DC club, and is known for his flair bartending skills. He is also a serial entrepreneur who organizes multiple meetup groups. J.T. is a PBS graduate who brings his bartending skills to the community in a unique way.

Several times a year, the group hosts three- to four-hour Sunday bartending sessions at PBS, where participants learn to make 20 to 30 cocktails in a single afternoon. It is part social event, part skills workshop, and it consistently ranks among the group's most popular activities.

For PBS, these sessions are a chance to introduce the school to people who might not have considered bartending training otherwise. For the attendees, it is a genuinely fun afternoon that leaves them with practical skills they can use at their next house party - or as the spark for something bigger.
